We are fortunate that our Port Brisbane Board is made up of a diverse array of talents from a technical director and coach, both with FA English Premier League experience and auditing criteria, through to experienced sports administrators, an expert in culture and change management and even a media professional with more than 30 years’ experience.

Ross Hickey

President

As the CEO of Keystone Civil Maintenance in Brisbane Ross Hickey is responsible for the financial, operational, compliance, risk and quality functions of the Group’s businesses in Australia.

Ross’ working career started in Juvenile Justice in Victoria, helping to transition youth offenders back to the community. He continued to work in the space for many years delivering child and adolescent self-esteem workshops and business management services through the public and private sectors before moving on to senior operational management roles in the service delivery sector.

He has held a number of volunteer Board roles including Director of Operations for the ACRoK Inc 2014 Biennial International Conference, board member of Noosa Chamber of Commerce and more recently, President of Port Brisbane Community Association.

Ivor North

Secretary

Sport has been a part of Ivor’s family life for a long time.

He became involved in football through his young son’s love for the sport. Just as he became involved in gymnastics through the involvement of wife Iuliia (coach) and daughter Lidiia (gymnast) who recently represented Australia at the Tokyo Olympic Games (2021).

Ivor is currently on the Gymnastics Board Nominations Committee and was previously Director of Gymnastics Qld. He is also a past treasurer of Willetton Cricket in Western Australia.

Ivor brings to the Board a solid corporate background having worked for Woolworths, Symbion, Wizard Pharmacy Services and Terry White Chemists in senior management roles both in Retail Operations and Human Resources Management.

He is currently the founder and director of P2P Recruitment.

Nicole Coutts

Operations Manager

Nicole’s affiliation with football is largely through her son who plays in Port Brisbane FC’s U13 team, along with being a long term Liverpool supporter.

Outside of football, Nicole has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. With a passion for compliance and risk management, Nicole has prior experience managing various functions including Audit Operations and Credit Recovery Administration. In her current role with one of Australia’s leading insurance companies, she supports the Board, Executive Leadership Team and Strategic Leaders in discharging their regulatory obligations by overseeing regulatory interactions and initiatives.

Carmel Millichap

Treasure

Carmel Millichap has been appointed to the board as Treasure, Carmel’s appointment provides Port Brisbane Club with as an independent director who presence sound accounting skills to ensure the club is transparency and meets all the regulatory requirement.  Carmel is currently director and owner of Milli’s Bookkeeping Services, having been in business for 15 years and a Registered BAS agent for 5 years. As part for her business and financial background, she loves helping small to medium businesses get their finances in order. Milli’s Bookkeeping Services  company specialises in MYOB, Xero Payroll, Superannuation and financial reporting. Carmel is also part of both a baseball club and netball club in Brisbane providing valuable voluntary and community support.

Camilo Vargas

Mini-roos Coordinator

Camilo has always been associated with football, he started at the age of 12 playing for Envigado F.C, a professional football team in Colombia where he played for 9 years to then played second division with Bello FC for a couple of years.

Since moving to Australia in 2011 Camilo has been heavily involved with football in Queensland playing in different divisions including FQPL and NPL. 

Camilo has also worked with kids doing 1 to 1 training sessions with children from 3 to 12 years old.
